Staintune is working on an exhaust for the Sport Classics. Could be interesting for anyone out there who likes their products.

Goodday Ed,
Thanks for the enquiry, and thanks for the approval on the Bonny
mufflers. It just so happens we have a 'Paul Smart' Ducati in our factory as
we speak having mufflers/exhaust system designed. At this stage we are still
in the developing stage but I should no more by the end of the week.

Thanks for the update!

Anyone know if Arrow is also working on a system?
I love the Staintune's sound... but they gotta get a handle on their prices!!!
Had one on my Daytona and Speed III. Before they became really expensive.
I wonder if the Project Imola people at Baines Racing will sell the Conti replicas they have. They would be great on the GT 1000 but wouldn't work on the LE or Sport. Anyone see any other Conti's out there?

I E-Mailed both Arrow and Akrapovic about a month ago and both stated they were working on them. Arrow seemed to be further along and said to check back in a month of so for more information.

I will try to do that tomorrow.

Awesome! Thanks, please let us know if you hear anything, especially from Arrow. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I have Arrow slip ons on my '95 SP and like 'em a lot. Part of the draw, I guess, is that they're Italian pipes. Just seems fitting...

I agree they are usually nice pipes.

Arrow said current ETA on additional information is about mid April, they said they would let me know when they had more information.

No additional information from Akrapovic or Leo Vince yet.

Cool! Thanks!
Staintune is ready with their entry.

Pictures on the yahoo group (in photos on the website) they say they will be posted on their website tonight, under new products.

Best looking so far to my eye... Polished stainless... ;)

The fit and finish looks very nice but those things are almost as big as the stock pipes!

Yep, one of the things I like...

Well, your'e right. They DO look nice. And I'll bet they will sound great.

I just like the smaller Termi pipes because - to me - the smaller pipes look more "retro".

That's the nice thing about the Sport Classic bikes - they are going to lend themselves to "individualization" more than other Ducs.

Be sure and post pictures when you get them!

Ditto.... I wanted something less obtrusive (visually speaking). The 2 -into- 1 system lets the swing arm stand out and doesn't visually "overload" the right side of the bike. The staintune system seems, from the images I have seen, to be about the same size as the OEM system. I like that they tucked the front header pipe under the motor. From my own experience I know that the headers will age a wonderful shade of gold. My headers and 2 -into- 1 coupler are professionally polished and are a thing of beauty. I am still holding off on polishing the muffler itself. IMHO this bike can only support so many shinny bits..... ;)

I guess in my mind I thought Staintune would produce a 2 -into- 1 system. Maybe someday they might...... :)

I have had Staintunes on 3 VFRs and 3 BMWs and currently my Blackbird is sporting a pair.

For my PS.... close but no cigar ;)
I'm with you, damn big and the bike just seems to work with black.

nt
On their website they show Conti replicas, so, why couldn't they just put those on SC headers and call it a day? I think that would be the look we're all thinking would be right. Right?

I saw these and was wondering if they might fit a GT1000. I can't sleep just imagining riding that bike with some rumble to it....

I always knew I appreciated my fellow riders from Texas! God-bless you brother, if they would build a system like that 750ss, I'd ride on down just to shake yer hand and buy you a Barbequed cow dinner!
