Hey how's it going, does anybody know if the side fairings off a st2 or 4 will fit on a st3?

no, only the 2004> fairings will fit the later style front.

well, having said that, now i'm wondering how they are different. don't have either here right now.

the 2004 st3 parts catalogue shows mods to the fairings at the leading edge (as in "cut here" sort of thing). wacky.

I installed a right side ST3 fairing on my ST4 years ago. It fit fine.

The side fairings were changed for the "new style" MY '04 and later ST models so that they could be removed for routine maintenance items, such as adding oil, without doing a complete take down starting with removing the dash cover, then the side view mirrors, etc, like the MY '03 and earlier "old style" ST models.

LT sold a bracket so that the "old style" side fairings could be removed without a complete take down, so it may be possible to use a "new style" side fairings on an "old style" ST.
