Hello everyone, I have an ST2 Model 2001, that needs belts replacement.

I will buy the original belts but I don't have any special tool for the tension.

I have read that it can be done with an android app on the phone.
Can somebody who has done it tell me an app, the hz that I should have, and the distance and from where I will take the measurements?

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum PanosDucati! I second t-bills suggestion of LT Synders book. It will really help you. You can use OEM belts, others (myself included) have had very good luck with CA Cycle Works belts. For that year ST, you would use the 5mm allen wrench method to adjust the belts...no need for harmonic tensioning. But if you are inclined, there are a number of apps (typically guitar tuners) that will work. I've used Gates Carbon Drive, Easy Tension, Tension2Go and Smart Tension. All seem to work okay.
