Hi all,
I have a 1998 ST2 on which the output shaft bearings gave out most likely due to the chain being too tight. Repairing it will cost a lot more than simply bolting in a replacement engine but I'd also like to stick a more powerful lump in there and was wondering what engines would fit in the current stock frame? If there are very similar engines that would require some minor modifications then I don't mind either.
Is there anything major I would have to change? I've read most of what has been said on here already but nothing in much detail or specific to what I need. Have seen an ST4 engine as well as a Multi DS1000 engine going reasonably cheap on eBay. Would they fit in without too much extra faff? Would appreciate any insight whatsoever.

Cheers

I'm not sure about the engine swap issue, but I'd definitely be interested in buying the horizontal exhaust pipe from the ST2 engine that you're going to replace. Send a couple of pictures if you can. I'm @ 419-203-5252. Thanx, Ken
