Hello, I am looking at buying a Corse carbon tail mounting bracket for my 998 so I can mount my track bodywork with dzus fasteners. I bought my bike used, and it came with an aluminum monoposto rear subframe. The seller says the mount will only fit an SPS style alloy subframe. Are all aluminum mono subframes the same, or is the SPS different? Thanks.

Yes, all the alloy subframes should be the same.

I thought the subframes were different as well. The SPS uses the P8 while the later models (>2000) used the 1.6M B1 system which were a different mounting system. If the SPS they say it fits is a 2001, then it should work, otherwise you may want to see a few pics.

There is a difference between the SPS subframes and the other mono posto subframes due to the ECU mounting.
