front

i called racetech, they recommended a pair of .80 springs and shipped them pronto, $124 shipped. changed them out with the forks still in the bike. a very nice change. i matched front/rear rider sag using the stock spring. am 155lbs / moderately aggressive street riding only, no track.

Just did mine with RT .90/165 lb rider, and New Ohlins for the rear.

BIG Diff!!!

$880 rear installed/ 10mm sag
$425 Fronts installed with Gold Valves/.90 springs.

racetech's spring rate calculator uses ducati's spec of 409lbs, while period tests show the weight of a fueled 900ss at 440lbs. so yeah, i took that into account when i ordered springs.
I set mine on the scale and with the fuel light on and got 421. There seemed to be a large descrepancy in the weights for this machine. Question, as I am new Ducati, do marchizini wheels come stock on the 900? (hope I spelled that correctly :)) If not, could that be the differance?
