Checa COULD have been eliminated after this race but he still has a (very slim) chance as a result of cock ups by those ahead of him in the standings even after a lame performance himself.

That was a championship ride from Biaggi. Despite the crash, he picked up and soldiered on to valuable points. Instead of ending the weekend behind Melandri where he started he came out on top, despite his crash. I didn't see any effort out of Melandri to try and pick the bike up.

If this keeps up Sykes is going to sneak in there and steal it!

What the hell?!? I've already wrote Checa off. I figured it between Melandi, Biaggi and Sykes. I'm pulling for Melandri. Why he was pushing so hard when his bike wasn't 100% is beyond me he should have settled for second or third. Good on Biaggi for picking up and forging ahead. This is going to be a nail biter.

1198 rocked the start of the season and they slapped 6lbs of weight on Checa's bike and he has been shit ever sense as he has to try so hard to keep up. I read that 6lbs has caused Checa fits. Sad really, it would be great to see him mixing it up up front.

Awesome that Chaz will be on a factory bike next year. Is there a nicer guy in the paddock. Became a huge fan after watching him trying to race a nail of an RSV1000 in DSB a few seasons back.

On his current trajectory he will end up in MotoGP. Be kinda funny to have a guy who raced DSB be in the premier class in the world

Sure was a lot of crashes in that race only one high side that I saw, most losing the front. Melandri you tool all you had to do was race for points after Biagi crashed. Best news Chaz has a win and a factory ride, watch out for this kid.

Really hope they take the extra weight off next year, this is getting ridiculous. I don't understand why Melandri was pushing so hard especially after he knew Biaggi had crashed. Oh well maybe the camera guys will pan to Marco's girlfriend more now
