here are the pics of the 2 in 1 system i have for sale,
it will fit supersports with 1000cc after a little alteration
has been done to the connection pipe, as it is designed
for a single sided swingarm application.

system is made very well, with laced adaptors to the heads
and laser cuts brackets etc., it fits smooth around the
engine and will clear the oil drain plug.

i could clean it upon sale if requested, it is brand new with
5 Km on it, perfect condition with no damage at all.

cheers. :)

What is the biggest gain in using spaghetti header?

Some say top end but other say mid range.

My oppinion is that it boost midrange and gives same top end as others good working systems.

if you are finally going to buy this nice exhaust system, i'll enclose a copy
of some nice tuning information where this matter is explained en detail.

:)

anybody else out there ? 300 Euros including shipping in europe,
that is a bargain.

yes it will, the fabricator has a SS1000DS himself, so perfect fit and
detailing is guaranteed.
you would have to send in your cans though, as they have to be altered
to fit the bigger connection pipes.

what a shame by the way, i have not spoken to him since april.

the 2 in 1 system is still for sale, 250 Euros plus postage is the
new bargain price.
it will fit the SS1000DS with minor adjustments to the connection pipe.

The reason I went to the spaghetti headers was for more cornering clearance at the track. They did improve the power a little once I rejetted my FCRs (1997 SS/SP), but even with the forks lowered all the way in the triple clamps and my Penske shock lengthened 'till I had to tip-toe to straddle the bike, I was still dragging the headpipes. On the fuel injected bikes, I don't think cornering clearance for the exhaust is an issue, but it sure is for the older carbed bikes.

I installed the SilMoto header pipes on the 900SS racer today. The pipes are quite well made, fit was great. I took pictures, I will post them later.
Sorry for the crap pictures but I guess I had the camera on the wrong setting.

Looks good

Looks good.

I had one of the very small gas analyser bolts come out of my header, I thought an exhaust had fallen off!

Heat locking compound or a good quality spring washer (which has done me fine for quite some time) is all thats needed.

I would just be happy with any system (or fabricator) that would give me a front cylinder pipe that does not hang so damn low on my 2002 750 Supersport.

Here's the link to the pdf for the catalog: 2010 catalog

Here is what the catalog says:

Spaghetti Style Header Pipe SS models (91-02)*
Spaghetti style header pipe which gets rid of the nasty cross section
found on the standard header pipe.Greatly improves airflow with
up to 8hp performance gain in the mid range. Can be used with
standard or any aftermarket silencers which use the standard
header pipe. Diameter 45mm.
900SL/SS (Carburettor) (1992-1997)
Stainless Steel £ 610 671 € 6999172
750 / 900SS i.e. (1998-2002)
Stainless Steel £ 610 671 € 6999173
1000SS i.e. (2003-2006)
Stainless Steel £ 610 671 € 6999174

Nice find! But at the price of the header and a set of cans, you could have a very lightweight custom undertail exhaust fabbed.

I have a custom 916 style exhaust system that is for a DS1000 engine. My race bike has a different style, also custom made system. It looks beautiful with the 998 tail.

The one pictured now lives in my shed.

FWIW I'm taking my track bike to a fabricator for the second time tommorrow. Fitted SilMoto headers and still drag them in the turns. Yes I raised my ride height (Ohlins etc). They don't really increase clearance that much. As for power gain: some but not striking even with rejetting. You can only hang off so far. They do look cool though. If you haven't put on lighter wheels yet, save your cash and do this first.

Well, I will get the wheels on order when it is time. With hicomp pistons, bigger valves, ports and lumpier cams the stock 35mm chokers gotta go... I need to know if  the SilMoto header will fit my 750

Thanks,

Gray
