Hey, I've got a 2005 1000DS SS. I'm trying to install a slipper clutch and am not able to remove the clutch hub. (The big nut that holds it in) Is it left handed threads or am I just a puss? Any help would be awesome.

Try an impact driver

Normal threads. It's on very tight, so you need something to hold it and a very long handle. I made a holding tool out of an old clutch pack and some aluminum bar stock.

First, set up your clutch holding tool. I brace the handle against the right foot peg. Now, get out your six sided 32mm socket and hook it up to your breaker bar and get to work. The first time I loosened mine it took my breaker plus a bit of a cheater on the end.

It will loosen up no problem, it will just take some leverage.
