Sidi Sole Repair: Total Fail

My sidi vertigos have been good boots, but the sole wore all the way through from digging in on corners. Horrible. It was right in the sweet spot, so as soon as I would get into a corner, it would HURT.

I tried shoe-goo, thinking it would help seal the hole and provide a little cusion/vibration protection. Total fail: they stood up for one session at the track. By the second round, the foot peg had dug in and basically gotten stuck in the goo. I felt like a wiley e coyote cartoon: I could barely lift my foot to reposition it.

Anyone repaired their soles successfully? I don't want to spend the $$$ on vortices and their replaceable soles.

A good shoe repair shop can resole almost any shoes, I would check with them.
You can buy replacement soles for Sidis and have a shoe repair place change them out for you.

Sidi is very good about replacement parts, I had mine re-soled pretty easily. Supposedly you can replace just about any part of the boot.
