I just swapped my forks from Marzochi to Showa adjustable. I already had a Showa adjustable rear shock. I did not rebuild the forks before installation and must assume they are stock. I weigh about 200# ready to ride. I adjusted both ends as per the Haynes manual as a starting point. The forks seem harsh compared to the Marzochi units. If you are running a similar set up and weight, let me know your settings. Thanks

Suspension is a black art to me - electrics are my forte.

this is an extract from the 2001 900SSie manual I have for my Showas.

Anecdotal info is that this is for a 70 kg/155 Lb rider.

Might be a good place to start from though.

Like I wrote, a black art to me, but some extra preload might be a good start.
