Hi guys.
I 've been on track with my sfs and i was using gp racer d212 (m) tyres. I tryed to put tyre warmers on but there wasn't enough space between tyre and swingarm..
Plus with d212 tyres dtc went mad. Completly ruined my first lap. So i went out in the box and swithced it completly.
My question is:
Is it tyre related problem (lack of clerance between tyre and swingarm) or something else?
I was using d212 for the first time, before only supercorsas. Dimensions where standard. 120/70/17 190/55/17.

Don't the Streetfighter bikes use the lower-profile rear tyre? If so, a standard profile will bring it closer to the swingarm, and I've definitely read that it throws the DTC out - you can negate it somewhat by decreasing the sensitivity of the DTC, I think.

Do you mind describing the DTC problem you have the d212 ? I suppose the size is also 190/55? I have been using pirelli SuperBike 190/55 with DTC set to 1, no issues there. I tried DTC set to 5 last year and I noticed it came on frequently at lean

It started from the turn 3 on my first lap. Cuting the trottle like i'm runing out of petrol. It started in the turns then even on the strait. On the strait I couldn't go more than 4000rpms even on full throttle. I went in box and connected sfs to diagnostic as you can see on the picture.
I put dtc off and went out on track again, no issues. D212 gp racers are proper dimensions 120/70/17 and 190/55/17 medium compound.
I'm planning to go for full ecu remap and dyno tuning in November, so I'll try to fix dtc issue as well. I'll put everything here.

Can somebody from moderators put the picture like it should be? I don't know why is upside down.

Interesting... my experience was DTC=5 is too intrusive, 1 works well for me. Looking at the screen shot, it does look like an ECU issue. I hope a ECU re-flash will fix your problem

Since you mentioned about swing arm gap between swing arm and rear tire, I do find 190/55 is a bit tight. I am planning to cut some area off the swing arm next week to fit 200/60 slick

For your issue about the swing arm clearance, if you are unable to even put tire warner on due to the lack of space, there is a danger that the rear tire may touch the swing arm once it heats up. I had this problem when using pirelli 200/60 slick.

the swing arm is now modified to allow 10mm clearance when using 200/60 tire

I see.
But you are using 200/60, i'm on standard dimension and it's tight.
I'll check again and put post some pictures when i come home. Next month ;)

K know there also was an issue fitting a normal 1098 chain as it's smaller than an SF one. This meant the hub was wound nearer to the front of the bike which caused rubbing issues. Make sure you have the correct length chain or get a slightly longer one.

Yes, tire warmers worked too with 190 SuperCorsa. I also used 190 Pirelli SuperBike slick tires, slightly tighter, but also ok with stock swing arm. 200 slicks was definitely a no no for my SFS until I modified the swing arm

Thats a great news.
Well. My brake discs after 2 days of racetrack.
Never seen marks like that on the road before.
Probably from temperature shock i suppose.

the spots on the rotors are normal for track riding. There's a LOT more heat going into them over street riding. FYI, 1 190/55 is tight on my 1198S as well. i'm not sure a tire warmer would fit with the clearance I have.

I have same toughts regarding the spots.
My good friend is riding 1098s and hes using tyre warmers without problem on supercorsas sc01. I'll ask him again regarding cleareance issue and type of tyre warmers, maybe some of them are thinner. I dont know. We'll see.

Talking about tyres.
Anybody have feeling on sfs and on dunloos gp racers 211 and/or 212 that bike is little bit lazy during fast direction changing? I remember when i had s2r1000 on diablo rosso corsas, it was much more agile than sfs. Same was later when i changed rosso corsas to rosso3. Back to back riding on s2r1000 and sfs. I can clearly feel the difference.
Sfs is about 10kgs+ lighter plus forged wheels..
