Ok so i just bought a '04 749s testastratta biposto 2 weeks ago, it only had 2200miles on it (2600) now and the previous owner did the 700mile service himself. I read through the manual and it says the only way to clear the service light is to take it to a dealership. Was wondering if anyone knows the/a proceedure to clear it.

My experience is that you will need to bring proof to the dealership that the service was performed and they will clear it out for you for a minimal fee. From 20 to 40 bucks usually. I am assuming that they have a certain chip or something that has a unique code given to them by ducati. mine has 6500 miles on it and still has the service light on because where I did the 600 mile service (ducshop) they were not able to reset it.
