What do I need to make these work on my 1000S, chaps? Perhaps suggestions for forks from other bikes that might work as well?

Actually they'll work fine with your stock triples. You'll have to change out the brakes though. These were the forks used on the Motowheels project bike, so looking at that thread should help out a bit.

Since you're looking for other suggestions, I'll mention that I love my 999 forks. I went with new triples, but you could bore and shim the stock forks too. New brakes are a must though.

The S4RS Ohlins forks are a direct bolt on to Sport Classic's, however they will require Radial brake calipers. So all you should need are the forks, radial calipers and brake lines.

We used S4Rs forks on our black/gold Sport 1000 project.

We used radial calipers, brake lines, axle, 15mm offset/5 hole rotors, S4RS fitment wheel and front fender.

If you contact [email protected] he can give you some details.
