Ideally right on the stem..
I see ram mount stem kits exist, but for some reason they don't fit ducati?

Love to see some examples.
I actually bought a ram mount 1 inch M8 mount that someone on a forum said worked, but the only bolt hole I can see it fitting are way off to one side on the grip mounts. I want it centered and not blocking the dials.

I still have the ram x grip part with a double ended 1 inch adapter, so I'm just looking to find the bike end of the mount.

Check out Techmount. They have some really nice bar mount stuff. Much nicer than the bulky Ram ball mounts.

It’s just a simple handle bar mount. Why wouldn’t it work? Look through all the different versions they offer.

This is one that I’ve used from time to time to mount radar detectors and GoPro cameras.

Oh wow, your bike looks a lot different to mine, and as the third owner it's hard to know what is stock and what was replaced, on either of our bikes.

I literally have no exposed bar left, and you seem to have a lot.
As such I was looking at ram mount bolt replacement or fork stem options.

I just looked up some stock 07 S2R's, and yes they look very different.
The clip ons on mine don't continue like that. The entire center stem is exposed, the bars are packed and just end at the clamp.

Someone put clip-ons on your bike. I recall someone making a threaded center nut but don’t remember who or where. Google it. Good luck.

Nicely remembered.

I think everything on this bike has been stripped down and lightened.

I'm not sure how much it saw, but the previous owner had a mind to race it.. The odometer listed on the title transfers says he didn't do much though.

There's a whole tonne of cheap stem nuts on eBay. Removal tools too..
I'll get to work making my own and post some pics..

Easy, but not much metal to grab a thread from.
I used a 6mm end mill bit to cut through, then finished with a 7mm metal drill bit, countersunk it just a little to debur the top with a step drill, and then tapped it to take that M8 1.25 bolt the ram mounts use.

It tightens but I wouldn't want to torque down on it much.
I'll likely put some thread lock on there and let it get happy. Perhaps an M8 nut secured underneath might be in order.

Now to figure out how to replace the nut without breaking the bike again

RAM Mount all the way

I did a ubolt clamp around the handlebar.
Worked great
