Scoth brite pads.
They rust because there's iron in those pipes, there's grades of purity, some have more iron than others and some are 100% stainless but that would make them more expensive.....:think:

You won't see that happen (or I never did should I say) on Arrows and LV

On the upside, they look really good powdercoated! ;)
Don't worry, clean them up once in a while and enjoy it, you already have it, make the best of it!

If you go that route I'd suggest taking few pictures (you'll need some rough lenght size for estimate) and ask whomever is handling your transaction for advice if you do it on line.
I've used Jet Hot on my 1098 and was very happy but looking at where you are located I wouldn't be able to suggest any, these days they do everything except for the carbon and plastic so even the rivets can be done.
The color is up to you!
