Howdy,

Been a member for a looong time, but just got back on a Duc. Bought it in NY and the owner kept his plate. Im itching for a ride, but it hasnt been registered or titled in VA yet. What kind of a ticket would I be looking at if I get caught "test-riding" it in the neighborhood??

Pretty sure NY plates follow owners not vehicle (Chuck would know better) as they do here in MA. Think of it as you might have as a kid on a dirt bike, stay off the main roads and do it quick, anonymously and don't get caught! (or just get the damn thing registered and have some patience)

Nice Foggy BTW, been one for sale/trade up here in western MA that I was thinking about offering up the 999 if it was still around come spring.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Ended up waiting to get a plate before taking it for a quick, very cold, ride. Definitely looking forward to warmer weather so I can stretch its legs!
