thinking about taking a nice ride down highway 1 to santa monica this friday, to attend the italian/ducati event on sat in los angeles.
anyone from the bay area have friday off, and want to take a cool ride? and anyone from so cal attending the event?

On Saturday October 17th there is a Ducati event being planned tentatively being called “Ducati Parade/Show me your Ducati Love” to be held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, CA. It’s a Ducati party that includes a Ducati display, girls, food, wine and a free concert of music by a mix of top Italian musicians. The concert, free for Ducati owners, is at a different venue (6 miles from the Italian Cultural Institute) named the “Music Box at the Fonda”. Ducati owners can get two free tickets valued at $50 each. When they arrive they must provide id and proof of Ducati ownership (bike registration) to pick up the tickets, which gets them into the Fonda Theater for two days, the 16th and the 17th, as well as the Ducati party.
The schedule is as follows:
Oct 17th
2pm – party begins
2:30 – pasta is served
6pm – party (and Ducati bikes) parade from Italian Cultural Institute to stage area at the Fonda Theater
The music is Italian pop artists, top artist’s very far from the stereotypical Italian opera. You can see and hear their music here: http://www.hitweek.it/lineup.php
The whole festival is a promotion of popular Italian music and is being put on by radio station 89.9 KCRW, the Music Experience in Roma and many others partners that you can find here: http://www.hitweek.it/partners.php

Negrita, Giovanni Allevi, Afterhours, Piero Pelù, Linea 77, Le Vibrazioni, The Niro, Calibro 35, Belladonna , Amana, Marco Fabi and others.
