More than positive thoughts .... will keep Joe in our prayers (yes, we do believe in that).
All too sad, though .... why can't people pay attention? It's not that hard. After moving to the US, I no longer commute on my bike. Still, close calls almost every day. Today, lady pulling out and then easily moving 2 lanes over, all the while checking her smart-phone. I doubt she even saw me (in my car).
And second the ATGATT approach - been down twice and thanks to gear and helmet, walked away both times. Gear doesn't always save you, but helps a lot.
Speedy recovery for Joe.
