I’ve had two of those rubber wellnuts pop out and I can’t for the life of me get them back in. I’m guessing you need to put the rubber in and then glue the metal thread in...?

I wish I could convert to fasteners like the R1 has. They were 1/4 turn Allen bolts that made an audible click when they snapped in or out.

The dzus fasteners look good but are just kind of ugly imo.

What have you guys done? Just replaced the wellnut?

Metal stays in, always. You put them in from the back side. Start at an angle and then you'll need so ething to poke the brim through the rest of the way around. You can use a screwdriver if you're careful, but something a little less sharp is better.
