So .. it's time. I'm thinking we get together @ 6pm .. leave by 6:30 the latest from a parking lot on I-80. John has the location .. somewhere in Eureka?

Who's in, so we know to wait? So far it's:

Terry, Vinnie (coz he has to), John, Clarke, Jesus and the family, myself ...

As of right now, the hourly forecast shows showers (if any) starting late Friday night into early (6:00 AM) Saturday morning. So, if they actually do get rain in the desert, it looks like it will be finished by the time we're ready to ride.

HUMAHUMAHUMAHUMAHUMA... That is Piute Indian no rain chant. OK, rain gods tell me showers (if any) starting late Friday nignt into early (6:00am) Sat morning. Same prediction as pale face above.

Reno/Fernley is high desert, not the Amazon. It will be clear and nice, perfect leather weather, not hot.

It is 4:49AM Friday morning and the Iwon weather station shows partly cloudy with a high of 77 in Fernley for Saturday!

Sounds about perfect weather to me. Didn't we plan it that way?

HERE HERE!!!!! X 1,000. What a helluva way to spend your first track day. Hats off and the biggest thank you ever to Jovan and John. What a great day and what great people from one end to the other!!! Being a part of this group with all you guys is hands down the best hobby I (or we) have ever had. Can't wait for T-Hill....Ooops, someone already said that. Only four months to go.

Reno/Fernley private track day May 20th

What can I say? I learned its fun working in order for others to have fun. That is enjoyment and made the effort worthwhile. I had a blast helping organize it with Jovan, he did a great job. Thanks to all and especially Vinny for going to Costco for me. It was a blast riding up to Reno and back with Vinny and Som, we laughed all the way up and back. Sorry Som you dropped your bike, but fortunately nothing beyond that and Doug's mishap. It was almost a disaster when I should have brought two bags of briquets instead of one. Hell, we wound up cooking and serving 47 burgers out of 48, just about perfect I would say!

The weather was perfect, the instructors were fantastic, food was great, and the people were the best. The Reno/Fernley track people were cool too. They couldn't stop complimenting us on how cooperative and non-squidlike we were.

See you all and more in Sept for our second and last of two private trackdays for 06.

Thank you everyone for coming !!! Thanks for all the help. Big ups to Jesus for "donating" the crash truck.

Great weather, great crowd. I had a blast and seeing shitty grins on everyone's faces was the best part.

We had two crashes. Both were very low speed and safe. Som's peg dug into the track and threw him off and Dug went too wide at the hands down the hardest turn on the track - just ask Vinnie. The highlight of my day was passing Vinnie on the inside of that turn .. and the only time I passed him .. ever. Still a pass damnit! :D

It was awesome, I loved the track. It was hard and technical and A LOT of fun. I am calling the track manager on Monday to book a good date for next year. Probably around the same time next year.

June, July, August, September 20th .. Hell yeah!

Jovan...You can put my name on list for next year event. :D

I had a blast. WOW!!! What an experience... I love the layout of the track. It's awesome. I wish it wasn't too bumpy on the back straight though. I was freakin out on the first run with Joe. I remember he told me not to worry or think about it. I was like...Are you kidding me? :D

I was sorry too John! Not so much about the bike but 3 hrs of riding left and I'm without a bike. :( I told Vinny I was planning on using all the gas that I brought up. :D Oh well, the plus side it gives a change to socialize with some of the riders.

Thanks again for the lift and hooking me up with Joe.

As long its not on AMA or AFM weekend, but you already knew that. I would say doing Reno on a Saturday is a must and around this time of year or late September like our gig time at THILL. Practice makes perfect and with a little luck. Remember to respect the Native Americans up there, the Piute Indians. My war chant worked, at least as well as the official forecasters.

You passed me??!?! I don't remember that. Did John get a picture of that??? I need proof dammit! ;)

Not to take anything away from you, Jovan, but I think just about everyone passed me on that G$)(*%^#$)*(#$ turn. Arrrrgh. Oh well. Next time. Maybe. Arrrghghghgh!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna to go cry now.
Me, I would let that pocket bike pass me there. If there was a place just to maintain, it would be turn 11. I was at the corner worker's station early for pics but all I saw was riders taking it easy through there.

No wrries bro, I'll take it anyway I can. I rather get lucky than good anytime ;)
That was turn 12 btw, John. #13 was one my favorites, late braking hard right turn - low speed and knee to the groud. I was dragging both my right knee and toe in that turn.

12 is the sharp, up hill, left hander immediatley after the bumpy back straight??? Yea, real confidence inspiring turn. ONLY place I got my left knee down all day though...and only once. The long turn back to the right at the top of the hill after the one I just mentioned was probably my favorite. Should be the same one Jovan is talking about...#13?? Got a toe down once there and drug the knee from lunch on in that one. Misti was dragging body work through that one!! I only got some right knee in one other turn but don't know the numbers. It was the 90 deg right hander before you come down hill towards the bumpy back straight.

Dragging body work on a Supersport means the suspension isn't set up right, guarenteed

Well, it's at about 34mm sag in the rear & 35mm in the front, which theoretically is spot on. Front is non-adjustable and no ride heigth in the rear, so???
