Well, I installed the 50mm throttle bodies on my 900 this past week, but I am having an issue. I mounted the battery in the front behind the steering head, but with the bellmouths being so long, I do not have room to mount an air filter for the front one (rear cylinder). I would like to mount the battery on the side (916 style) and was wondering if anyone had done this and what is required.

Thanks

Mike

I'm sure some people have done this already (not me though :p). It shouldn't be too difficult to fabricate a battery holder from some aluminium sheet.

However, maybe you should look for a sealed type battery which you can fit even horizontaly. It might fit that way under your tank. Check the Odyssey batteries ;).

If you remove the oil separation box from the crankcase vapor recovery system, you'll see a nice space in the frame under the seat for a battery. You may have to mount it horizontally, which means using a sealed one.
