Not sure I agree with above
There were only 5 black Sport 1000s sold in Canada and 10 of the 07' SE. I know of 6 SE in Canada and only 2 of the black 1000s. 1 of the 2 is a US import. Mine is 1of the 5 and the only Canadian black 1000s I have seen in the last 10 years of searching for these bikes
I said they are the most rare

But it's just a paint job, it's not a full rare bike. And over time, those bikes just don't carry the collector value of their more rare mechanically gifted counterparts, if that makes sense. What's a Matrix 998 or a Diesel Monster worth these days? The entire 1000s LINE, is what I'd call psudo rare, BiPosto, but with the PS fairings. It's actually the worst "S" ever made by Ducati? The forks are budget, brakes are standard base fare, it's very un "S" like in a lot of ways

A proper S would have at least 90s superbike level brakes, adjustable forks, and maybe even mag wheels IMO, certainly tubeless wheels of SOME type.
I hope that makes sense.....I own a 1000s, RED, it's my dream bike and I love her. But I don't think, when you consider the entire line of bikes, there are rare bikes and there are paint jobs. Bikes made in a configuration for just 1 year, in my opinion, will always be more rare than multiple year colorways, which happen all the time.
BTW, I really love these bikes for the simple reason is that I can own something kinda rare, but not priced through the roof. I got a 1000s, and a Matte Titanium 748s, I don't know what I want next

These 2 beautiful girls represent less money than a used Panigalle BTW. Almost 30K on the 1000s!!! And nobody cares about a 748s, even though this is arguably the most beautiful Tamburini Superbike ever, FIGHT ME!
Also...so your saying we want a registry?
