Anyone got any good recommendations for carbon parts, preferably that match stock S fender and belt covers? Or brands too avoid.

Fullsix from carbon conquest seem to have a big range but no idea of their quality.

Carbonworld is also a perfect match for the matte carbon fiber from Ducati. Have had pieces for years and quality is good.

I've been buying carbon parts from most of the suppliers for years. The weave on the stock ducati stuff is 3k non twill. Most vendors will give a choice of twill or standard weave - the twill does look better but it doesnt match the stock parts.Ilmberger has good quality parts that fit just about as good as the stock stuff but the finish (on the gloss parts) has a low sheen and lot of orange peel and for me that is a deal killer. Most of the other vendors use parts sourced from various Chinese manufacturers and can specify quality and materials to just about any standard and price point.

I've recently purchased parts from motocomposites and they do offer choices of 100% carbon or carbon/glass hybrid and in twill or standard weave. The parts I bought were 100% and standard weave. They match the stock pattern nicely and have an excellent. polished finish with no orange peel. However the fit with some of the more complex parts was pretty bad requiring some Dremel work and even re-drilling on one occasion.

I also just replaced my rear huger on my streetfighter with a part from Bestem. The quality from Bestem has really improved over the years and I have to say I'm extremely happy with the huger; the fit and finish is exceptional, It has a beautiful high gloss finish with a perfect polished surface, the part is 100% carbon and they didnt skimp on materials, it is quite substantial. The fit is perfect - bolted right up with no issues. However they do not offer a choice (at least I didnt see a choice) of weave so I ended up with a twill weave. Honestly I'd love to replace all of my non twill parts if I could but the mismatched weave doesnt really bother me that much.

I've been buying carbon from many different suppliers for quite some time for myself, friends and customers, Steve at carbon conquest deals with Fullsix who have a large selection, carbonworld also stock most parts that I've needed but recently I fitted a hugger on a friends streetfighter from moto composites and the quality, fit, finish and match was top dollar only problem was the cost of postage and the powers that be in the UK having your pants down when the goods arrived...:surprise

Thanks for the info, really helpful and will check these all out.

you must have been unlucky, i've bought plenty of Ilmberger gloss carbon parts and they have all been flawless, the matt stuff is too. certainly no complaints and 100% better than others that some rate like QB carbon and shift tech. I guess a price point might have something to do with it but the link i supplied is very competitive and i wouldn't buy anything else.

There is some overpriced garbage out there that's for sure, and if the bike has carbon on it as std getting a good match is important, most who know the bike well can't tell what's std and what's Ilmberger on my Diavel.

Everybody has a level of fit and finish that they deem acceptable. I was not unlucky, I got exactly the same carbon finish on my Ilmberger parts that everybody else gets and it is not acceptable in my book. On the other hand I dont find mismatched weave to bother me much, I dont really notice it, but you might find that unacceptable. I'm not sure how you think the Ilmberger stuff is 100% better than Shift Tech because I'm pretty sure that Ilmberger is Shift Tech's supplier...

no, not in my experience, My Ilmberger gloss is smooth as glass, all of it, bought at different times but all through the same supplier (the one i linked in my other post). And i've seen shift tech carbon, the weave is not the same, neither is the fit or finish. Pretty sure Ilmberger and MS production are the same and the MS arm supply genuine to Ducati amongst others.

Your experience is obviously different but it's incorrect to say that everyone gets the same that you got, mine certainly isn't, and i won't recommend anything that i'm not happy with, and i'm pretty fussy.

Well, all I can say is I bought multiple parts for different bikes at different times from Ilmberger and they all have the same low sheen orange peel finish...

I've ordered the rear hugger and exhaust shield for my SF848 from Bestem on Amazon and the quality has been really nice. The prices for their parts also fluctuates a lot on Amazon so you can score them really cheap if you keep an eye on it. I paid 38 for the shield and 98 for the hugger and both pieces looks great on the bike.
