I have a 2006 multi 620. Currently running pure sport tires, the rear is 160/60 r17. How big can I go on the rear? I am not planning on a pure sport tire this time around. Thinking about a 90% street, maybe 10% dirt road? Any suggestions??

I put a 170/60 17 on the back since it was all they had at the time and I badly needed rubber. You wouldnt think that 10mm would make much difference but the bile became extremely twitchy above 170kph to such a degree I didn't trust it at anytime. I check the tire balance front and rear I checked the rotation direction for both front and rear tires AND rims to ensure were done correctly and in the end the only difference was the new tire size. I can't even blame it into new tire having thicker tread depth since these were the third set put on the bike. So I agree with shazaam, don't change tire size unless OD will be the same. Etc. The bike was built and tuned for the 160 tire.
