what are folks experience in re-chrome bits on old Ducati's ? I have a collection of very "tired italian chrome" (aka rusty) parts and I have been doing the replace route, but...

Thoughts or experiences or recommendations for refinishers ?

i have re-chromed the stuff on my ss because
1-its original equipment
2-chrome stuff seems impossible to find oem replacement
but then again there is a vintage bike specialist chrome shop in my town-it makes a difference-i wouldnt take any precious bevel stuff to the regular corner chrome shop

I re-chromed a set of very rusty and poor condition conti clamps.
You cannot get them any longer and the clamps were a complete write-off before.

They are not perfect but are very respectable and usable now.

Sometimes a re-chrome is the only option but personally I'd rather re-chrome the original parts than buy reproductions.
