Of course you can, you can wire any radar detector to any bike. They even make some motorcycle specific radar detectors that are weather proof.

I've been using the Adaptiv TPX with moderate success. It mounts cleanly to any bike I've tried it on and it works fairly well. I'm a little dissapointed with in city performance compared to my Bel 955 but it's so much easier to use and maintain. I will definately invest in the 2nd generation of this product as an upgrade. -Pk

I have an Escort 8500 in my car and it is great. Maybe i can go that route.

Do you have any type of alert in your helmet or do you have to constantly look down at the unit?

The Escort makes a great motorcycle detector because it has a built in ear phone jack. Get a set of ear buds that also double as hearing protectors and will stay in while putting the helmet on. I use the Etymotic 6i.

I run an Escort 8500 X50 and it works great.
I have been running the above set-up for about 2yrs and has paid for itself tenfold.

One of the guys I ride with, uses the screamer to notify him

Good luck with the options
