I looked through the service manual as the orientation on the seal but didnt find anything. I’ve read that the direction matters. Anyone know which way is out?

We will need specifics before we can help. Bike? Pushrod? Seal location?

These Ducatis are belt drive dual overhead cam engines with a single push rod that belongs to the world of clutch. And in that clutch world there are no needle bearings or seals. There are o-rings.

Not being a jerk. Please be more specific.

Your right. Not enough info. It was for the the clutch pushrod on a 749.
