I got my Evoluzione kickstand bypass switch installed, and I am now able to start the bike and let it idle in neutral with the stand down. Hurray!

Only one little tiny problem... when I put the stand up and drop the bike into gear, it dies. I know it's supposed to die if the stand is DOWN and the bike slips into gear, but the stand is most definitely UP in my case.

So, I can now warm up my bike with the stand down, I just can't ride it.

Is it really that common to have the diode be dead the day you take it out of the packaging?

So I called Evo today, and talked to George. His sage advice was to "wiggle it around a little and see if you can make it work. They also have not (as of yet) responded to my email from 4 days ago.

I thought they had great customer service?
