Hello,

Yesterday, as I pulled up to a stop light, the sound of my clutch basket ('99 900ss) changed perceptibly. As I looked down, clutch still in, I noticed the pressure plate spin down to a complete stop. I've never seen it do this before. Does this mean my plates are finally worn to the point of needing to be replaced? Does it mean something else?

Thanks very much.

That is what happens when you pull in the clutch unless you get a little drag. Pull clutch in, pressure plate pushes out and disengages..
