I am going to attempt to dial in the preload on my rear shock tomorrow(Saturday the 6th). Some of the info I see wants me to unload the spring and put 20mm back on the spring as a starting point.
My question is...since the sag on my bike is currently 3.5cm with the stock setting, why unload the spring when I already can see I don't have enough preload?
Or am I missing something?
I would also like to know where other ST 3 riders have their static sag set and does anyone have recommendations?
I weigh 165 and vitually never carry a pillion. (if I spelled that right)
