What's this, the 5th or 6th model in just 1 year's time ? I've lost count ! :grin2:

PS : Comes with carbon covers for that ugly (grey) Delta box- type frame from the factory !

Comes with a dry clutch.... I wonder if it is based off a V4R?

Very cool.

They made it clear it's based on a V4S. It has a dry clutch and the front frame from a V4R but that's it.

Last week when they called for my deposit, I said they could have it on the condition that the bike would be based on a V4R, frame and suspension at a minimum. They said it would be almost that. Well, almost isn't quite enough.

I don't blame you. It is really cool, but at almost twice the price of an S, it is a bit much, for what it is. My local shop has an S for $25k, which would be more tempting to me. Still a cool bike, though.
It is a sharp looking bike. Still, for a Fogarty throwback, they should have run CF Termis, and some gloss black wheels would really set it off nicely (although those on the bike wheels are pretty sick!).
But that two tone seat..... definitely not my taste. Conjures up thoughts of the old 748 9XX bipostos that had the color matched passenger seat, but never seemed to match up. Slap a solid dark charcoal alcantara seat and black upper pad on there, with a Corse shield embossed in the upper pad, and put a fold-away license plate on it that flips up, concealing it when the ignition is shut off. ?

Same here... gorgeous.
I want those number plate stickers.
I posted on A&R a couple of days ago that it should have been based on the V4R engine (basically a special of the R priced at ~$50k or more) OR a very special sendoff for the 959 Panigale. Effectively an R version of the 959, which in many ways should be the spiritual successor of the 916 being a twin and all.

Mag frame/airbox, maybe CF wheels and swingarm from Superleggera, full exhaust system, and those graphics. While it wouldn't be the fastest Ducati superbike ever made, it would be one of the lightest and best-handling, and by far the best twin under 1000cc ever made.
