Heres a stupid question, and I'll probably get bitch slapped into next week for asking it, but, here goes........

Has there ever been, or could there ever be, a series of racing bikes that pertains to high speed ovals? You know, like Daytona, with the high bank curves and 200mph straights? Or would something like that be too dangerous? Would you watch it?

Just curious.

Years ago[Mid to late 80's] there was a series I think was run by CCS that ran oval tracks in the southeast. The bikes were sort of a cross between roadracers and dirttrackers.I don't think it lasted more than a season or two.I seem to remember that tires were a problem due to the constant left turn.

Gosh that was definitely made in the days when men were men and wiring harnesses caught fire.

Board track - 212km/hr bugger that - I don't even like riding across wooden bridges much.:D

But it was really really cool, thanks so much for sharing. When husband returns home I shall show him too.
