Sorry, should have clarified... I'm in Canada. Peterborough, to be exact.

I've been told very few of the early 916's made it up here due to high demand south of the border.

Extremely difficult to find here now that 20+ years have passed(!), but picked this one up in Rochester, NY and drove it back on a trailer after completing the export/import.

Ha, I tried several times to get in touch with 'John', the seller of that Grand Rapids bike. $3K seems too good to be true, no matter what the condition.....he never answered so can only assume it was a false listing. It's still up on Craigslist.

A few shots of the strip-down. Bike came with termis, ohlins rear, SP tail section, and a service history up until it last ran in 2007. Doing belts, fluids, etc myself.

I hope to be up your way next June, every year we rent the track at Calabogie for 3 days of fun. Last year I had too much fun and broke myself pretty good so i had to take a year off, next year I plan to be back.

That should be a good bike, I am sure you have been warned about the rocker arms already. Know that a 95 is one of the better years so that is on your side!

Thanks man, Calabogie sounds like a good time as long as you don't end up broken...

I think Cagiva outsourced rocker plating from mid-1996 onward, so hopefully won't have that issue on my '95.

Correct- same bike!

PO had it for 17 years so can understand the reluctance. He actually mentioned that he changed his mind about selling last year. I guess when he realised I'd driven across a national border just to look at it, he figured I was pretty keen to look after it and get it back on the road.
