My girlfriend has offered to take me to Quebec for my birthday in June. Probably go up on the Triumph since the 998 is a mono. Looking for advice re: hotel/motel and places to eat. We tend to like the smaller bistros and places that the full time residents like. Don't know how much it matters but, although I do pretty well with Spanish, my French is limited to "Pardon moi, Je ne parle pas...."

chateau frontenac,
a bit pricey but in the heart of old quebec,
can also arrange to park indoors,
lots of bistros within walking distance.
language shouldn't be a problem , many of the merchants are bilingual.
hope this helps,
have a good trip.

There's also the Auberge St-Antoine... one of Quebec City's hidden gems.

It's got cozy, well-appointed rooms, exceptional service and great cachet. I suggest you try it!
