Uh oh, here we go!

I wonder if this will get moved to the Oil and Lubrication section. Suggestion: any full synthetic 15W/50 or 20W/50.
oil . . .

Don't know if your '05 has a wet clutch or not, but if it does, make sure your oil is "JASO MA" approved. Otherwise, you are in for big clutch troubles. Dry clutch does not make any difference in oil specs.

to add to what Fred said;
there's a circle on the back of the bottle. if it says "energy conserving" in that circle don't put it in anything with a wet clutch.

My '05 SS1000DS has a dry clutch. Did Ducati ever make a wet clutch Supersport ?

about 10 years ago there was an oil thread on one of the Goldwing sites that was about 30 pages long. it was amazingly anal.

but........I did notice that the Mobile1 that I put in the Monster starts to foam when really hot.
.
it's outa' there this weekend.

I'll shut up now.
