Hello,

How does the oil light works? It’s a on/off switch or slowly opens!

Yesterday I washed my bike and went for a short 15 min ride. In the final of the ride I was pulling thru the gears and it seemed that the oil light just gave a little light, very faint, at 11000 rpm. But I don’t know if it as the sun light hitting the led.

Is it possible for the light to open a little bit?

I’ve just put a new pressure sensor!

Should I be worried?

Thank you

Pedro

It's on/off switch and warning light shouldn't illuminate especially at 11000 rpm , i think it was some illusion caused by sun light but you can check oil pressure using some pressure gauge

If you get water in the pressure sensor, it will do this until it goes away.

I had the same issue after the first time I washed by bike. The oil light stayed on until I took off from a stop and would stay off until the bike it idle (with an occasional blink from time to time). Once the water in the sensor dried up the light never came back on.

Lesson learned, I wrap that sucker in plastic when I hose down the engine now.
