I have a MY 04 ST4S (ST3 style)

The oil light started to flicker on, quite dimly at first, then solid.
I had to get RACd home in the back of a van....

I've changed the sender (as per other threads) but to no avail.....still flickering

Strangly, the lamp flickers when the ignition is turned on (engine off)until all the lights come on one by one as expected, which may point to an electrical fault??

Any advice would be appreciated!

Is it eletrical? Have you checked the oil screen? They can back out if not properly torqued and block an oil return galley.

Oh, and I don't know that your fellow 2004/5 ST4s owners agree when you call it the ST3 style. ;) :)

I'd put a mechanical gauge on it and see what kind of pressure it is really putting out, then work from there.

A ways back, I though that was my problem, but it was a sensor. I checked it nonetheless. If you used the side stand and a cold motor, the oil loss is minimal if you are quick about it.

Have a good one.
