I have not been able to ride my 04 S4R for the last 4 months or so due to a knee surgery. I finally rode it for the first time a few days ago for about an hour ride. When I got back I noticed a few drops of oil coming out of the large bolt holding on the left rearset and runing down the rearset, which is completely new. I could not find oil any where else around the area. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Probably leaking at the clutch push rod - cheap and easy to fix. HOW = Hall Of Wisdom

The countershaft is closer to the rearset than the clutch pushrod is, could be the countershaft seal.

One other thing, did you just lube your chain? Every once in a while I have a bit of gunk run onto the rearset in that area from the chain.
