I read on the Owner's Manual that Ducati recommends oil change every 7,500 miles.

It seems like a lot of miles.

How often do you guys change it?

I did mine at 3000 (I only have 4600) I don't know why they say 7500 but it can't hurt to change it sooner I would think.

No engine ever failed because the oil was changed too often.

I change mine every 3000 mi. (4800 km.)

ciao minchia francesco ... to correct the problems you might have induced by not changing your hypertard's oil sooner, you should use extra extra virgin olive oil when you change the oil next time.

every 3k or so. It depends if I get the bike on the track or not and how the seasons fall. I won't ride the bike before an oil change after it sits all winter. I don't care if it only has 1500 miles on the oil. I also change the oil more frequently when I ride it on the track.

Oh, not to debate things I use standard automotive moblie 1 and K and N filters.
