Didn't see a thread for this one yet, so I'll get it started.

Prediction:
Stoner passes Lorenzo half way through last lap for the win.
Lorenzo takes second.
Crutchlow takes third.

Spies either gets his act together or high sides it trying.
Hayden 2 places over Rossi
Dovi either 4th or 5th
Edwards back on top for the CRT's
Pedro still can't go full race distance and is 8th or worse (but might take pole)
RDP spins out again at the start (rain doesn't matter)

I'm not much into predictions in something with as many variables as a motorcycle race, but I will put forward a few thoughts ,,,

If Stoner doesn't finish hard, either in front or pushing for it, you'd have to question his level of motivation post the big announcement.

I think Lorenzo will put in his usual immaculate and metronomic performance ,,,, that bloke is a machine.

Pedrosa will feel the pressure yet again. His qualifying will be better than his race.

Final positions might be "as per normal", but I think the gap between the front runners and the factory Ducatis will be narrower than previously.

I think this race is the acid test, the make or break for Ben Spies. If he doesn't show vast improvement, then there can't be any more excuses. Both he and Yamaha will lose confidence, and the rest of the season will be a non-event for him.

Bradl will once again put in a solid effort, and finish somewhere mid pack of the MotoGP bikes, which will be yet another good effort from a 1st season MotoGP rider, on a satellite bike.

Abraham and RDP will be at the tail end of the GP bikes ,,,, if they finish at all.

In Moto2 ,,,,
I'm hoping for an improved effort from Innone. He's slipped backwards from last season ,,, for some reason. He's a much better rider than this season's results indicate.

Marquez needs a podium, and better still, a win. All the talk about him moving to MotoGP next season is I think putting too much pressure of expectations upon him, and it's showing in his performances.

The Interwetten bikes are going well, and should do likewise this time.

The wet at Le Mans played into Ant West's favour. 5th place from a 19th grid start was a GREAT result. I hope it builds further confidence for both him and his team.

Moto3 ,,,,,,
As usual, this will be an entertaining and great race. I'm tipping at least one new face on the podium. There is so little between these bikes and riders. The organisers have kicked a goal with this class change from 125 two strokes. Just like they did with the change from 250's to Moto2.

Crutchlow, Dovi, Bautista, Barbera, and Bradl must all be looking to find Factory rides for next year. They are all getting consistently better. Now if they could only translate that into good times during the race (Crutchlow and Dovi excluded).

Predictions:

Lorenzo
Pedrosa
Stoner
Dovi
Crotch
Bradl
Rossi
Spies
Barbera
Hayden
Bautista

Stoner will take an early lead, but ruin his tire, cue Lorenzo and Pedrosa biding time. Dovi and Crutch will play patti-cake all race, Rossi and Hayden will slip and slide, Spies will make mistakes chasing the demons in his head, Bradl will suffer from arm pump midway through. The first GP12 will be 26 secs back.

Today's race is going to be really interesting because of tires and the weather.

Light rain fell during warm-up, and everyone who went out on slicks came back for rain tires. Rossi promptly moved up the order to 3rd, while Stoner came in 2nd and Crutchslow 1st. Lap times are over the 2 minute mark, however there are chances that the track could dry out in time for the main event, in which case the temperature and difference between the soft and hard rear will really play a big role. The soft appears to be faster, especially in cooler conditions, but it also appears to be faster in hot conditions. The real unknown is if they can last race distance. Some are betting on the hard to lose ground at the start, but catch up at the end of the race as the softs degrade, others are saying the softs can be ridden to the end, but the last 10 laps will be a sliding frenzy. Rossi has said these bridgestones are easier to slide on than previous generations. As of yesterday almost everyone except the Repsol Hondas was in favor of the soft rear.

We're gonna have a real race on our hands either way.

WOW! If this race was WSBK you would be tripping over your dicks proclaiming how great it was. It was a close race with good action and just as good as anything that WSBKs has provided.
