Hello, I've been doing research but can't find the cause of this. My 1000ds lets out a clunk sometimes when I release the clutch lever, like after a tight low-speed turn. Chain tension is around 30mm (~1.2in) and it's a rather new one. Rear sprocket O.K. but the front sprocket is a little shark-finned. There's also no play in the wheel so I think the bearings and cush drive are fine. Axle nuts are tight.

It's strange because I can't make the noise happen purposely, and as I said, it's occasional. On some rides I never get it. Oh, and it doesn't happen at motorway speeds.

Any ideas are welcome.

Not sure if its the same issue as mine, (2005 1000ds Super Sport) but after 30-60 mins of riding, pulling away from lights or junction, sometimes its like a groan from the drivetrain? not always, but its like a low strain noise (Hard to discribe really) not wanting to pull a wheelie i just kinda pull away normally, but as mentioned after a while its groans a bit? (Not from the start of the ride though)

would love to know what it is lol
