Hey everyone,

I don't know how the reaction is going to be to this question, but I am in the Orange County area, and I was thinking about buying a 520 chain and sprocket conversion, but I wanted to install it myself. Part of the reason I got this bike (749) is so I could do some minor wrenching and learn how to mess around with the bike.

Anyway, the reason I am writing is I am curious if anyone has experience installing chain & sprockets and would be willing to help me install. My main goal is just to learn how to do this stuff. I do have a decent amount of exp. wrenching on cars, but none on bikes. Anyway, is anyone willing to try to teach a new-b? I'll buy the beer!!!

I'll help you out. I just installed my 520 conversion a few weeks ago on my 996.

I did have to use a friends chain press.... do you have one ?

Only down side is I work a crazy work schedule...
