When I first got my motorcycle license I started looking for a motorcycle that looked good and goes fast. So I saw this bright yellow Ducati and loved how it looked. So I bought 2004 Ducati 800ss with only 6200 miles. The only thing was, it’s yellow. I’m an auto body painter and thought I could paint it. Because it was yellow I got it at a great price.

So 5 years later I had time to paint it and love the Ducati Rosso red.

Only thing is, how do I change my username?

I guess I'm odd But My Race bike is bright Yellow, ( The Yellow I use is 1995 Ford Mustang Chrome Yellow) I painted my 2001 BMW R1100SL the same color, I have been SOOOOOOO tempted to paint my 1991 900SS the same color but I continue to resist only because Ducati did not offer the 1991 900SS in yellow.

we had an ssie come in years ago that was red frame and wheels (maybe part polished) and black bodywork. looked very sharp.

a variation of the white/black mv f41000r theme might look good too.

I have a red one but when I was looking for a 900SS I was especially looking for a yellow one. But back then I only found one and that one was a bit too expensive. The owner had looked up some production-numbers and came to the conclusion that he had a 'rare' Ducati and asked nearly double the 'red-price'...
So I bought a red one but, although I know that a Ducati should be red, I've always liked the yellow ones more then the red ones.
But that's just for the SS. I don't like yellow for the 916 or so...

I have always lived Ducati yellow. I was disappointed that Multistradas didn’t come in yellow. (I got a white one.) Everybody’s different.

My boss is like you. He has a yellow Ducati and paid more for it as well because they are rare and he really wanted his Ducati in yellow.
He made it out like I was committing a unforgivable sin painting it, but at least I kept it in the Ducati color family and not purple or something crazy.

My avatar picture is my 851 in yellow because I loved the superlight 900, it was not painted the correct shade. Now it is back in red as original. If it was a better yellow I might have kept it but I hope to not change again.

I do think some bikes look better in other colors but am really not one who cares too much as I have Silver,Black, red and orange Ducati's. have fun and enjoy your bike it is just paint and can always be changed again.
