There will be no replacement for injured Spaniard Sete Gibernau at the Grand Prix of Italy on May 31. The 37-year-old grandson of Bultaco founder Francisco "Don Paco" Bulto has been operated on in Barcelona and had the frequently broken left collarbone re-plated.

Pablete Nieto, team director of the Francisco Hernando Team and son of the legendary Angel Nieto, considered coming out of retirement (he was a 125 specialist and GP winner) to ride the bike himself, but decided against it.

"I tested the bike once...
Well, I didn't test it -- I dressed as Stoner and rode the bike in a commercial, so I wouldn't call that a test," said Nieto,

Asked about having his cousin, Fonsi Nieto, sub for Sete, he said, "Fonsi has been called up to replace (Max) Neukirchner for the Suzuki team in World Superbike so that option is not available."
