I've got the idea that the recommended idle isn't enough for a 916 with a nichols flywheel, seems to me it should be higher. Am i right? Can anyone back me up or other?
Agreed, mine has a light flywheel and I recently fitted an aluminium clutch (including a lighter one piece billet hub) which dropped a significant amount of weight and this made it more prone.I pop them up a few hundred rpm because I find they die in the arse really quick when you back off. They will still idle fine on the lighter flywheel.
