I have a 2002 Ducati 748 VIN number ZDM1SB3R62B010449, what model is it (S, E, R, ect?) Prior owner says it is a Type "R", I really don't know. Just really need to know, it's killing me! Thanks...

"Body style: Racer", basically means standard? If it was a an "R" version, what would the VIN look like or have for Chrect #8 in the VIN? Thanks

The 02 748r should have the bigger airbox (it mounts in two parts with the lower part mounting to the heads, and it should have shower injectors. The frame is different to accomodate this bigger airbox as well. You cannot put an R shower injector set up in a stock non R frame without cutting up the crossmember. I hope this helps.
