That was almost a haiku.
You could also shed 3 to 4 lbs by joining us in the aluminum tank buy. Doing that before buying those other items would be a better investment in my opinion. We need new SF owners to help out with the group buy. Something to think about.

If I had the choice between $1600 in carbon fiber or a $1600 aluminum fuel tank, a bunch of CNC billet parts, or even an exhaust. I would pick the $1600 aluminum fuel tank as a first addition to the bike. The #1 reason would be to never have to think about ethanol expansion problems. Reason #2 would be to shed another 3 to 4 pounds and to gain another half a gallon of fuel capacity.A better investment??? Is this a joke??
All you want is another person in your group buy!
1600$ to shed 3 to 4 lbs. hahahahahahaah
It's a bigger problem with the Ducati (especially the Sport Classics and the Sf), because unlike the Japanese superbikes, the tank itself is the major styling element, whereas on the Japanese bikes there is usually a plastic cover over the tank itself - thus you never see if the tank is distorting due to the ethanol fuels.I'm curious. Is it only Ducati that as problem with ethanol or do you see the same problem with suzuki, yamaha, honda etc etc???
The problem was not resolved for the 2012 bikes??
If the bike was a true racing bike i could understand wanting to lose 3 to 4 pounds but this is a streetfighter, not a GP bike. Try a treadmill you could save 10 pounds lolllll
My 2 cents
