Got some gel grips to replace my worn out OEMs and figured the swap would be easier than it appears. Not just a simple grip replacement like on some of my vintage iron. Requires removing throttle cables, as well. Tried taking off the OEM throttle-side grip but couldn't figure out how to get it loose of the switch gear assembly which has it captured on the rider's side.
Is this something better left to the dealer since I just had the carbs sync'd? Don't want to make the beast unridable in case I goof this up. Shop manual is useless.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
