I bought a battery about 5 days ago, brought it home, poured the included 'water' into the cells and mounted it to the bike. I smeared the little packet of dialectic grease on both terminals and between the miscellaneous wires at each terminal. And threw the trickle charger on it. A few hours later it was reading 14 volts.

I left the tender on it as I've had it on the lift this whole time going through belts, oil, electrical, odds and end. So I took it for a little spin today before putting the plastics back on and noticed .... this.

The negative side looks fine.

But the positive side is fuzzy looking.

What the h*ll is going on with this?? Anyone have a thought? (I'm only a pseudo mechanic).

Clean the dielectric grease off all the terminals and put it back on the charger.

See if the issue comes back again.
